About this Blog (and Me)

This blog has two main purposes.

• I hope to be involved in some large project to write a generalised AI — as the core enabler. That is… I know how to make a generalised AI (so to speak), but — theoretically [actually counter-factually] — if I were to do it on my own it would take several hundred years. Also, I don’t have several billion dollars lying around; the idea is for someone who can afford to do this to take me on. [Disclaimer: there are one or two (solvable) big hurdles to get over before I could attempt a prototype, and this project is currently on the back-burner.] That is… one (main) purpose of this blog is to demonstrate my [purported] ability to do a kind of thinking that, as a rule, other people simply can not do. Not everything is apt to support some left-field insight, so the content is very stable (noting that I am hoping to post on quantum computing; stay tuned). …Also because this is hard work and takes time.

• The other (main) purpose is largely independent; there is Christian material that might be categorised as “encouragment”. Theoretically, I might have created a separate blog for this; I am strongly averse to pressing Christian material on anyone who does not positively want it. However, one of the above-mentioned posts I refer to coarsely as “The Meaning of Life”; it is an adjustment of the representative/“standard” Judeo-Christian world view. [Ideally, I might publish two books around this; one because the presentation herein is beyond terse.] Partly because of that connection, and partly because of the greater simplicity, I have just included everything in the one blog. Apologies to anyone who is exposed to Christian material and resents it, or the like.
